Moscow, Feb 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to reports, the zookeepers of a Russian Zoo had to send a male chimpanzee to a rehabilitation center recently. He has been sent to the rehab center due to the ill habits of drinking and smoking that he has been into for sometime now. The Chimpanzee has been shifted to the city of Kazan, which lies approximately 800km to the east of Moscow.

The chimpanzee named Zhora has a history of aggressive behavior. He was with a Russian circus troop before who handed him over to the zoo authority. In the zoo his tantrums continued and apart from learning the art of drawing with markers he also incurred the habits of smoking and boozing. He was in a zoo at Rostov, a city at the south of Russia. According to an official of the zoo, the chimpanzee has also resulted in the birth of many baby chimpanzees in the zoo.

The officials have also reportedly mentioned that the Chimpanzee’s drinking and boozing habits had increased in the zoo. Zhora left no stone unturned to get a drink or cigarette out of the zoo visitors. His behavior has caused problem for many visitors. However, apart from the problem that he was causing to others he was also becoming the cause of self destruction. His bad habits according to the zoo officials were affecting his own health. This led the zoo authority to take such a decision of shifting the Chimpanzee from the zoo to the rehabilitation center where enough care will be taken to see to it that Zhora returns to a normal life.
