dach Moscow, July 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is a new name in the long list of famous and weird dogs that have made news around the world. Dog Boniface is the new kid on the block and the dog from Russia is the first dog to do scuba diving.

The dog belongs to the dachshund breed and is owned by Sergei Gorbunov, who works as a professional diver in the city of Vladivostok on the Russia’s pacific coast. The diver had the bright idea to bring his dog on one of his scuba diving trips, and so he made a swimsuit with a helmet for his pet.

He’s now teaching him how to scuba dive and the dog seems to be learning the tricks of the trade as well.

The dog seemed to be eager to go diving in a recent demonstration by the Russian dog owner. As Gorbunov was readying the diving equipment, the dog barked excitedly and calmed down, when he was fitted with its swimsuit and helmet.

He seemed excited when he finally went underwater. “Underwater, I don’t think he experiences any stress.” Gorbunov said. However when Boniface was underwater, then he emitted ‘high-pitched whines’.
