Body of Valerie Hamilton, NC Police Chief’s Daughter Found, Suspect Arrested in NY

Sep 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The body of the twenty three year old daughter of a North Carolina police chief has been found in a storage building. The police had video surveillance of a suspect and began to search extensively for the man whom they believe is responsible for her death.
Valerie Hamilton, the daughter of Concord Police Chief Merl Hamilton was discovered dead inside of a mini storage facility located off of Monroe Road. The cops have arrested Michael Neal Harvey, who is a registered sex offender that has been convicted on felony breaking and entering charges before. His long criminal record also includes firearm possession, larceny, and drug possession for heroin.
Harvey was arrested in Niagara Falls, NY after a warrant was issued by Charlotte Mecklenburg police for the thirty four year old suspect. He was originally from Niagara Falls, but had been living around Charlotte for the last few years. The relationship which the suspect had with the victim is unclear as yet.
