russian_skydiver New York, Dec 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The authorities in California believe that a decomposing body that they found in a field may be that of a Russian skydiver who went missing about two months ago.

The body which was found with two unopened parachutes that were still attached to his back is believed to be that of 51-year-old Victor Frolov. The body was found by a farm worker on Tuesday who later informed authorities.

Frolov was last seen at the 25th day of September after jumping from a plane over Perris. He is a Russian skydiver who was on a visit to the United States.

The police say that they can positively identify that the body belongs to a skydiver and they indicated that there is no other report of any other skydiver missing in the area.

Sgt. Kevin Smith of the Riverside County Sheriff said that, “It is the human remains of a skydiver with the chute and everything still intact, and you can tell they’ve been out there for awhile.”

After Frolov failed to turn up after that fateful day, rescue team were sent to locate him but the entire search proved futile. Authorities partly blamed their inability to locate the body to the high trees and tall weeds that covered most of the field.
