Folkston, Georgia, Oct. 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) During the search of the missing Somer Thompson, the body of a young child has been found in a landfill in Georgia by the authorities. The body found has not been recognized as the missing 7-year old’s. However, her parents have been notified. An autopsy is due to be done in Savannah on Thursday, according to the county Sheriff, Rick Beseler.
On Monday Somer had been walking home with her brother, sister and friend. After getting in a fight she walked ahead of the group but never reached home. A complaint was lodged for the missing girl by her parents. In the course of the investigation, a whole lot of sex-offenders were questioned. Nearly 70 of them lived in a radius of 5 mile from where the girl disappeared. It is a normal process for the authorities to search garbage trucks and the landfills in a missing child case. The officers searched around 100 tonnes of garbage before uncovering the body of the young child. Somer vanished from Orange Park, which is a suburb in Jacksonville and one of the most populated areas.
The Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist quoted, “It is not conclusive yet this is Somer, but all indications sort of point in that direction. We all need to say a prayer for Somer’s family.”
The county sheriff, Rick Beseler, had earlier said that the body was that of a female, but then said that confirmation was not carried out. “Now we can begin the painstaking effort of finding who did this and bringing them to justice,” he added.

How many more little girls are going to be killed and maimed and thrown in a garbage dumb untill something is done?
Children are in season in America, kill them because noone cares to protect them, shame shame on law makers in Washington DC and everywhere in the country. In Florida alone in the past few days, the past few months, in a matter of a years time, for cryin’ out loud, there has been child after child disappearance, what is going on?
When are the children important enough to have laws made to protect them from pedophiles and these sick people that hurt them?
Right now as I sit here, on the news tonight, one child;s body found, one missing in Mo, little Haillee Cummings in Florida, this is so heartbraking.
When is this going to end?
My prayers; to the family of Somers Thompson and other;s that are missing their childrne tonight.
God be with you all at this sad time.
