kelDekalb, Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police had been frantically searching for Antinette Keller, an 18 year old Northern Illinois University student from Plainfield, who was last seen on October 14, after she told her friends that she was going for a walk. After wide search and investigations, the family of the missing girl was shocked to hear yesterday that the DeKalb Police has reclassified her missing case as death investigation. The law enforcement officials announced yesterday that the investigators have found human remains in Prairie Park, where Antinette Keller reportedly headed to before she was reported missing.

The Dekalb police officials have revealed that they have notified Antinette Keller’s family as they have found many “items of interest” on the location. However, the police have not yet released any details about the items recovered from the place and they have not confirmed as yet whether the remains belong to Antinette Keller. DeKalb Chief of Police Bill Feithen told a reputed media source that the items they have been discovered during their course of investigation has made them come to that conclusion of reclassifying Antinette Keller’s missing case as death investigation. The police chief has not even confirmed the condition of the dead body.

Bill Feithen said that he can confirm about the body once the autopsy reports arrive. He also said that the police are still investigating the cause of death. NIU President John Peters issued a statement yesterday where he thanked all the university students and all the community volunteers for their support. The president of the college also asked everyone to stand by Antinette Keller’s family during this difficult time.
