Body falls from Miami-bound cargo plane in the Dominican Republic
February 19th, 2010 - 5:02 am ICT by BNO NewsMIAMI (BNO NEWS) — Federal officials say a body fell out of the wheel well of a cargo plane on departure from the Dominican Republic on Thursday. The incident is under investigation.
The male body fell from the wheel well of Amerijet flight 840 on departure from Santo Domingo. “The aircraft continued to Miami, and was isolated in a remote area of the airport for investigation,” said Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The flight departed at 1.45 p.m. EST and landed in Miami around 3.50 p.m. EST.
