Blackout hits quake-hit Chile
March 15th, 2010 - 1:14 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )SANTIAGO (BNO NEWS) — A major power failure left 70 percent of Chileans without electricity on Sunday night, local media reported.
Greater Santiago, Valparaiso and the quake-devastated Concepcion were without electricity after a failure in the central interconected system.
According to CNN Chile, the blackout affected cities from Atacama in the northern third region to Puerto Montt in the southern tenth region.
