Biker Gang Member Killed During Federal Agents Raid

policeOld Orchard Beach, June 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Tuesday one of the members of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang was shot down by the Federal agents who carried out a raid to arrest two members of the group. The man killed was reportedly named Thomas “Tomcat” Mayne and was aged 59. He was one of the 27 members of the Outlaw Motorcycle gang that has been indicted by the grand jury in Virginia for the being involved in criminal activities that ranges from kidnapping, extortion, drug dealing and illegal gambling to attempted murder.

The raid was a part of the seven-state sweep to find the criminals of the gang who have been carrying out the criminal plunder for long. An ATF spokesman revealed to media sources that the raid was carried out by a SWAT team from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The agents were fired at by the gang members at around 6 a.m. when they tried to arrest Thomas “Tomcat” Mayne and Kenneth Chretian. Thomas Mayne was the regional treasurer of the for the outlaws motorcycle gang.

Glenn M. Anderson the ATF special agent who is in charge of the Boston office said to media sources that the SWAT team was put to use to capture the criminals as the ATF gauged the suspected criminals to be part of the “violent criminal enterprise”. The special agent also revealed that the agents were fired at just as the stepped in the premise. Apart from the criminals the two women were also present in the house raided by the Federal agents however none of them were hurt by the firing as has been mentioned by the Attorney general’s office.
