Best city cars in 2010 for urban driving
October 25th, 2010 - 8:19 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Oct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Consumer Reports have come up with the Best City Cars for 2010. The list consists of mostly fuel-efficient cars.
Not surprisingly hybrid cars dominate the list. The list is led by Toyota’s blockbuster hybrid car, Prius. The Prius IV was adjudged the best city car for this year and the car, Smart ForTwo Passion, followed it.
On the list is Honda’s Insight EX at the third position with another Toyota vehicle the Camry Hybrid as the fourth best city car.
Nissan have its first vehicle on the list at the fifth position. Nissan’s Altima Hybrid takes that position. German automaker Volkswagen has its car, Golf TDI at the sixth position on the list of Best City Cars for 2010.
Another Honda vehicle, Civic Hybrid is at the seventh position with Ford Fusion Hybrid at the eighth position. The top nine Best City Cars for 2010 list was completed by the Scion xD.
Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the impact car emissions are having on the planet. As a result, it will be just a matter of time that most of these Hybrid cars become the most sought after in the world. It is however not surprising that almost all the major automakers are switching to the development of hybrid cars now.
