holl New York City, July 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Abercrombie & Fitch has closed down its main Hollister store that sells clothes for teens at SoHo. This came about as a result of a huge infestation of bugs, that were found in the shop according to an employee.

The insect infestation had been reported for about a month, but the company’s management did not take it seriously and also failed to work on it.

The clothing store normally hires models that hang around the shop’s premises to advertise its clothes to other potential customers. A manager and another employee first reported infestation more than 3 weeks ago, but it wasn’t taken seriously by the management.

Another employee was bitten by bugs on Tuesday June 29 and found another live bug on her clothes. Many other employees also have had bug bites and Hollister has shown that the well being of its employees and customers are not as important, as the money that they mint.

They refused to close down and employees were forced to work in those outrageous conditions. Part time employees are not being paid now, that the store has been closed, even though some of them work there for more than 40 hours every week.
