Bay Area Fire Rages On, Firemen Carries On Their Fight

California, Sep 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The massive fire that broke out near the San Francisco International Airport area last night continues to blaze untamed. The firemen have arrived in dozens at the place of the explosion and they bare trying their best to douse the huge flame that had shot up in excess of 100 feet in the sky. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has sent 25 fire engines, two smaller attack planes as well as 4 air tankers to help the firemen crew in their work. The San Bruno Fire Department crew jumped into action minuted after the fire broke out and they are getting full support from the firemen team arriving from other areas. The nocturnal sky was well lit up by the massive flame and it was a spectacle indeed according to the eyewitnesses and victims.
At the time the fire broke out the residents felt a terrible shake which made them apprehensive of a quake. They said that the heat of the raging fire could be felt from other blocks such was its intensity. A spokesman of the Pacific Gas and Electric said that the fire could have been triggered by a gas line blast but the exact reason of the blast is yet to be known. The injured lot are getting treated at the adjacent hospitals and medical centers. The number of burn victims however are expected to go up.
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. officials are trying to find out what actually led to the massive blast. The company has said if it is found accountable it will not shirk responsibility.
