Bart Whitaker is sitting on Death Row in Texas
May 3rd, 2009 - 3:23 am ICT by GD ( 4 comments )Today, Bart Whitaker is serving a term of life imprisonment for the charges of murdering his mother and his brother. The Bart Whitaker’s murder case is more popularly known as “The Sugar Land Conspiracy.” The bizarre murder case shook the whole of America and there were a number of shows that tried to decipher the possible logic behind the whole incident. After rounds of investigation it was discovered that money was the driving force behind these heinous crimes. Thorough investigations revealed that Bart Whitaker had taken help from some of his friends to execute his unscrupulous plans. Inquiry proved that Bart’s real motive was to receive the $1 million dollar heritance. Money was his sole motive behind his plan to carry out the killings of his family members.
The whole scheme seemed to be more nerve wrecking because Whitaker was a well-spoken boy belonging to a caring family. Even more shocking was the fact that the young boy was sly enough to take a bullet himself and pretend that he too was a victim of a mindless shoot-out. However, the law was successful is revealing the case and punishing the wrong doers. One of his accomplices, who carried out the actual shootings, has also received a life sentence. The second accomplice in the case has received 15 years of imprisonment.
On the 1st of May, the television program, “20/20,” held a special show on the case, where the reporters tried to portray the real picture behind the whole incident and how the investigators were finally able to crack the riddle. The program was aired on the ABC Television Network at 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET.

Just watched “48 hours” which also did a show on this tragic case. I was shocked watching it in general, but especially at the end when Bart W. got his sentence. It is so hard to believe that a jury could manage to sentence him to death, against the wishes of one of his victims, his own dad (and the dad also said that there was no doubt that his murdered wife Tricia would also be against it)… As if that poor dad hasn’t been through enough, losing his wife and one son. Now he will lose another son, killed by the authorities… I just don’t get how the jury can live with themselves, going against the dad, taking it upon themselves to make his awful experiences even worse… It is just horrible! Just so that is said, Bart Whitaker no doubt deserves a life sentence, but it just makes no sense to take his life too…
My heart goes out first and foremost to Bart Whitaker’s dad, but also to the rest of the family and others who has to live with the consequenses of this sad and tragic case…

Read the book and then you will understand why the jury gave him death. He’s right where he belongs!

I recently read the book that Kent Whitaker, Bart’s father, wrote. No where in his telling of the story did the motive of money come into it. I think this is a tragic case all around, and if Bart’s victim can forgive him, can’t we extend a little of the same?

You bleeding heart liberals forget this is pre-meditated murder. Three times he tried. What a coward he is not to take his own life and save the taxpayers from supporting him. All his whining and Kent’s whining will not bring back Kevin and Tricia. Begging money for stamps….give me a break. How much money did Kent make for writing this book? He didn’t do it for free. Hot meals, huh Bart. Looks to me that we taxpayers are feeding you very well, fat slob that you are today.
