Nassau, July 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police has finally managed to catch up with the Barefoot Bandit, even though he eluded the police for over two years. He was captured by the authorities in the Bahamas.

The barefoot bandit had become a hero of sorts as he was able to steal cars, boats and even airplanes and get away safely too. He was known as the barefoot bandit because he was once caught on the surveillance cameras as being bereft of any footwear, so since then he was nicknamed as the ‘Barefoot Bandit’.

His real name is Colton Harris-Moore and he was arrested in the wee hours of the morning today, in northern Eleuthera, according to the police official Sgt. Chrislyn Skippings, who is a spokesperson for the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

After his arrest, he is most probably going to be extradited to the United States, and in this endeavor a group of officials are traveling to Bahamas. They are hoping to gain the custody of the Barefoot Bandit and take him back to the United States.

Just a week ago, there were reports that he had stolen a plane from the Great Abaco Island and since then the police were on the lookout for him.
