Nov 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Barefoot Bandit’ aka Colton Harris-Moore was not much popular in his hometown Camaro island before he shot to fame as a plane thief and got over 100000 fans in Facebook. Amazing as it may sound, he started his voyage in crime when he was as young as 10. He started with small crimes but soon started burgling, stealing and using credit cards. This week the young criminal was indicted on a number of criminal charges is Seattle. He became a teen hero over the years and managed to give the chasing cops amiss for the previous 2 years.

He was charged by a federal grand jury on 5 counts. For each of these counts, he faces 10 years of jail, as it has been reported. Now the ‘Barefoot Bandit’ as he is commonly refered is cooling his heels in a detention center in Seattle. The indictment will be given on Nov. 18. It has been reported that the 19-year-old stole an airplane from an airport in Indiana and when he crash landed it he was arrested by the cops. He was trying to flee in a boat but was captured by the search team of Bahamian authorities.

However, the sad part is that the estranged mother of the so-called ‘Barefoot Bandit’ is being approached by movie and TV networks for purchasing the rights of the life story of the teen. The teen who became one of the nightmares for the cops did not take to crime and stealing for nothing. He was abused mercilessly by his father in his childhood which might have affected his psychology during his growing up years.
