Fort Collins, Colorado, Oct 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The stray away Helium ufo-shaped balloon believed to be carrying 6 year old Falcon Heene crashed landed in a Colorado field at about 3:35 p.m. ET.
The whereabouts of the boy is currently unknown, it is speculated that he either fell out of the balloon during its 2 hour flight or was not in the balloon from the start. Authorities are conducting searches to find the boy.
Cathy Davis of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department told reporters that the two brothers were playing outside when the elder brother saw Falcon get into the balloon and flay away.
The aircraft was build by an adult male, according to a spokeswoman for the Larimer County sheriff’s office, who said the boy jumped inside the basket before it took off. Authorities were considering a rescue operation until it touched down near Brighton.
Numerous agencies were involved as the balloon flew across the state at dangerous heights.
