babyAug 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An arrest has finally been made in the case of a four-year-old South Florida girl, who went missing about eleven years ago. Melissa Harding-Jones, the baby-sitter of the girl has been taken into custody by the cops earlier this week and is being held at the Snohomish County Jail without bond.

The news that the baby-sitter of the four-year-old girl Pilar Rodriguez has been detained by the authorities was validated by the Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Cameron in a news conference that was organized on Tuesday. In the press conference, it has been revealed that the 33-year-old woman was taken into custody on Monday night and the charge of aggravated manslaughter against a child has been levied against her. The Charlotte County Sheriff further went on to state that after Melissa Harding-Jones has been arrested, authorities are taking all the necessary actions to ensure her extradition to southwest Florida. However, any details about what kind of evidences prompted the cops to detain the 33-year-old baby-sitter has not been revealed to the media as of now. While addressing the reporters, Bill Cameron added that the arrest of the baby-sitter, which comes after months of toiling by the investigators to solve the case, finally provides a certain sense of closure to it.

Pilar Rodriguez disappeared way back in the year 1999 when she went on a vacation with her baby-sitter Melissa Harding-Jones, who was formerly Melissa Cooper. On being questioned, the baby-sitter told the detectives that the young girl was beaten to death by her then boyfriend Keith Wilson who, however, denied any kind of involvement.
