Phoenix, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Workers at a warehouse were shocked when they discovered the remains of a dead baby stuffed inside a clothes donation box.

Investigators know that the package comes from Phoenix but the challenge is to determine who in Phoenix made such a “donation”. The remains of the baby still had the umbilical cord attached when it was found.

Authorities are still struggling to determine whether the baby was born dead or lived after it was born. The police say the baby was found wrapped up in a towel and placed in the donation box. It is believed that the package was dropped off at a retail car park between December 8 and the time that it was picked on Sunday.

Investigators are working to determine whether they can pick up more clues to identify who might have dropped the child in the box. They however believe that when the case would be eventually solved with or without the help of the general public.

They are however not under any illusions about the kind of task that confronts them. One of the officers, Sergeant Steve Martos said that, “But even if we narrow it down to a hundred, it’s still a challenge for us to determine which of the hundred.”
