Jan 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 21-year-old Ayla Brown appears like a girl next door or any normal college goer. However, she has mastered a lot of talents at this young age. Through her hard work and perseverance, she has taken up a wide variety of roles. In August 2005, she began her “American Idol” journey. She stood with her mother, Gail Huff, a WCVB-TV reporter for eighteen hours under rain shower at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts for impressing the producer. She then encountered the three celebrity judges in Boston. Ayla Brown sang “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” for her audition. The judges hesitated but finally she was sent to the Hollywood rounds. Thus began her Idol journey which reached this young basketball player to the mass. She was amongst the top 24 contestants in “American Idol.”

During her school days, she was one of the top female basketball players in Massachusetts, her score was 2, 358. She secured sixth place (both men and women) in Massachusetts. She had to miss the last few games of the Noble and Greenough School girl’s basketball team which she captained for competing on “American Idol” fifth season.

After “American Idol” she appeared in various top shows in 2006 which were mostly covered by local or national media. These made her a fan favorite. She performed four songs in “Kiss 108″ concert held in Mansfield. Following this she participated in lots of live shows. Her debut album titled “Forward” was released in October, 2006. As per reports, her new album “Circles” is going to released in April this year. She is also participating in Boston College’s tournament. Life is proving fruitful for this young lady with her shifting of roles from basketball to live performances to new releases. The latest news of her father Scott Browns victory in the Senate race is definitely going to add extra color to her life.
