Ayden, NC man sentenced for cocaine dealing

GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (BNO NEWS) – A resident of Ayden, North Carolina, was sentenced to 52 months of imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release for aiding and abetting the distribution of more than 50 grams of cocaine base, U.S. Attorney George Holding announced on Wednesday.

Desedrick Monta Freeman, 32, unknowingly sold 55.8 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover agent who was conducting a controlled purchase. Freeman was arrested after the sale.

The investigation conducted by the Naval Criminal Investigation Service, revealed that the illegal substance was provided by Aaron Coppedge, who was convicted last February of drug possession and distribution charges.
