russian-spy Sep 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A former top ranking member of the Russian spy agency who represented the former communist nation from the United Nations has died after a piece of meat that he was eating, choked him. Sergei Tretyakov switched allegiance to the United States ten years ago and the official autopsy report from a medical expert in Florida confirmed the cause of death as stated.

The 53 year old also had a cancer-causing tumor in his colon but that didn’t cause his death on June 13, according to reports by the Associated Press who have an official copy of his autopsy report. Many people had cried foul play when the Russian passed away on June 13.

The former top spy’s switch of allegiance from Russia to the United States ten years ago was the biggest blow to the Russian spying agency in the last ten years. He later revealed that the Russians had stolen over half a billion dollars from the UN backed oil-for-food program in Iraq.

His surviving wife Helen Tretyakov stated publicly on July 9th that her husband had died. That was the same day the highest profile spy exchange between the US and Russia happened. Mrs. Tretyakov revealed later to WTOP radio in Washington DC, that she did that to prevent the Russians for claiming responsibility for his death.
