sea Orlando, Apr 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The autopsy results of the SeaWorld trainer who was killed by a killer whale were released on Wednesday. The results reveal that the hapless trainer died due to drowning and because of blunt-force trauma to her head, neck and torso. The Medical Examiner’s Office has inferred that the SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau’s died due to drowning and traumatic injuries. The Medical Examiner’s Officials have said that her death was an accident, as the toxicology reports have also come in, which say that there were no drugs in Dawn’s system when she died.

It may be recalled that the 40-year-old Dawn Brancheau was having a show for the audience on the 24th February at SeaWorld, and she had just introduced the 12,000-pound whale on the show, when it suddenly came out of the water, and grabbed her, apparently by her ponytail. The killer whale dragged her into underwater and thrashed her around mercilessly. Trainer Dawn Brancheau was already dead by the time the emergency personnel arrived, according to Orange County Fire Rescue spokesperson John Mulhall.

Later the SeaWorld officials said that this is a one-off incident, and that all possible effort was made to save Dawn’s life. They also said that all the personnel of the SeaWorld performed heroically and professionally, when they saw that a killer whale had attacked Dawn.
