Dec 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Authorities on the border between the state of Arizona and the country of Mexico have seized over 13.6 kg of crystal meth which was being smuggled across the border by an eighteen year old Hispanic American citizen.

According to a report on Fox News, the US Customs and Border Protection officers pulled over a truck which was at the Douglas Port of Entry some time last week. During the following inspection, many packages were found which contained crystal meth, hidden behind the back seat of the truck behind a firewall in a hidden compartment.

The estimated street value of the meth was $1.4 million. The driver of the truck is an eighteen year old citizen of the United States who is initially from Hermosillo, Sonora. He was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be prosecuted.

It is very similar to another meth bust which took place in November at the Loredo port of Entry, when $210,000 worth of meth was seized from a twenty eight year old Mexican female who was living in Loganville, Georgia. She was carrying fourteen pounds of meth in a 2003 Ford F-150.
