Authorities Confirm Decomposed Moreno Valley Body To Be Of Norma Lopez

norma1July 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As was being feared by authorities and the family of the missing teen Norma Lopez, the decomposed body that was found from near an empty stretch of road in Moreno Valley has been identified to be that of the missing teen’s. The sad confirmation of the death of Norma Lopez has come from the Sheriff’s spokesman Joseph Borja who said on Wednesday that the officials were able to identify the body after an autopsy. However, no reports confirming her exact cause and manner of death has been released by the police as of yet.

17-year-old Norma Lopez went missing last Thursday while she was returning home from Valley View High School where she was attending summer school classes. Although wide range search was carried out by the police, it was only on Tuesday that a decomposed body was found near an empty stretch of road in Moreno Valley. A resident of the Moreno Valley first alerted the police on Tuesday of the remains. The body was found in such a poor condition that it was only after an autopsy report that the police was able to confirm the identity.

As per reports, apart from the body, the police have also found personal items and signs of struggle in a field where Norma Lopez normally took to reach home early. The police on Wednesday said that they do not have any suspect for the case and offered $35,000 as reward for people who could provide any useful information regarding the case. The shocked family of Norma Lopez pleaded for her remains from the authorities.
