Atlanta Woman Uses Toe To Alert Police

toeAtlanta, Aug 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is no doubt about the fact that what comes handy at the time of any crisis is none other than a presence of mind and quick thinking and a woman from Atlanta has only set a new example for it. 39-year-old Amy Windom who appeared on NBC’s “Today” show on Wednesday described in front of the cameras her ordeal when she was robbed at gunpoint by a robber at her place. The story not only turned out to be an interesting one but also an inspiring one that can motivate many people to act smart at the time of any such crisis.

Amy Windom said that the robber entered her home early on Tuesday and bound her to her bed. While he helped himself with Amy Windom’s valuable belongings, the lady said that she tried to persuade the robber to leave behind her company-issued laptop that could be tracked. While the robber left the place in Amy Windom’s car and took with him her mobile phone and others belongings, the lady did not sit back and cry but dragged the laptop near her and typed a message with her toes on her laptop. As her hands were tied, Amy Windom toe-typed a message to her boyfriend.

Amy Windom said that she used her right toe as a mouse on the touch pad and pulled over the power cord and put it on her left toe to type a message to her boyfriend. She asked him to call the police who then arrived at her place to rescue her. The police was able to recover Amy Windom’s car in front of an abandoned house.
