PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON (BNO NEWS) — At least two people were killed and two deputies were injured during a shootout outside a Wal-Mart store in Washington state, local media reported Sunday.

The shooter was killed after firing at the Kitsap County deputies who were responding to a call at around 3:45 p.m. local time. Upon arrival, the deputies warned the suspect to stop, but in turn, he opened fire against them, the Port Orchard Independent reported.

During the shootout, in addition to the gunman, a female teenager, whose relationship with the shooter is still unknown, was also killed. While the shooter was killed at the scene, the female teenager later died after being taken to a hospital.

The deputies were taken to the Tacoma General Hospital to receive medical treatment, but the injuries were reportedly non life-threatening.
