Asbestos Abatement To Prevent Mesothelioma

June 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Authorities in the UK have warned fly-tippers who have reportedly dumped corrugated asbestos sheets in the woods. Asbestos sheets have reportedly been found 3 times in the same area of east Devon District.
The district council said that it wants to make the public aware of the legal duty while clearing rubbish or disposing waste in an area. They said that they should trust people only with waste-carrier license. They have also added that if that it is the duty of the people to care about the disposal of their rubbish and if found improperly disposed it will be the liability of the person/ family who have given it to the waste disposer.
Asbestos has been banned in several countries of the world including the US but many houses still contain the material concealed within various construction materials. The recent cases of asbestos abatement occurred in Georgetown University Dormitory.
The removal will occur throughout June and is a part of Durnall Hall’s upcoming renovation project. The asbestos removal will be done keeping in mind the District Of Columbia and federal government’s regulations.
Asbestos has been associated with asbestosis, Mesothelioma and even lung cancer. Thousands of Americans are affected by the hazards of asbestos each year. Mesothelioma is an incurable disease that has symptoms like shortness of breath and chest pains.
Sometimes the disease can lie undetected and dormant in a body for decades before becoming active. Mesothelioma doctors it is difficult for the doctors to monitor the patients. Humans have maximum chances of contracting Mesothelioma by inhaling airborne asbestos particles.
