Army Commander General Anupong Paojinda responded to People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) claims that a group of Army Cadets were preparing to incite a revolution by stating that a revolution would not be beneficial to the nation at this time no matter what group were to instigate it. General Anupong said that a revolution would not help to remedy the nation’s situation as political problems must be solved through political means. He assured that no investigation needs to be made into the matter as it completely false while suggesting that solutions must be made to reduce conflicts and find compromise.
The Army Commander affirmed that he was confident in the capacity of his subordinates and assured that they would work to fulfill the army ideals of protecting the nation, its religion, its monarch and its people.
