Buenos Aires, May 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) 22 people have been confirmed dead following a plane crash in Argentina. Officials say there was no survivor in the crash which happened at the southern part on the country.

Sol Lineas Aereas whose airline was involved in the crash stated on its website that the plane disappeared from the radar shortly after it took off on Wednesday. There were 19 passengers including a child and three crew members on board. Officials say the plane’s wreckage was found at the Rio Negro province of the country and rescuers have ruled out any possibility of finding a survivor in the wreckage.

The Argentine National Civil Aviation Administration’s spokesperson told reporters that after the plane crashed, rescuers were dispatched to the location to find the wreckage. The search was hampered by the bad weather at that time.

He said that, “Last night, when the emergency happened, we put in place a search and rescue operation in the area, which at the time was experiencing very bad weather conditions.”

Investigators are now working out how the crash happened. The airline suspended some its flights on Thursday and indicated that family members of the victims will be transported by the company.
