Applebee’s Offers Free Meals To Military Personnel On Veterans Day

appleNov.12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American restaurant chain Applebee’s was packed to the fullest on Wednesday as it offered free meals to serving and retired military personnel on the Veterans Day. It is the food chains own unique way of showing their solidarity to people who selflessly work for the freedom as well as the safety and security of their countrymen. Thus this new initiative, the Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill gave away free meals to veterans military personnel as well as military officials who are still active in their jobs.

However, the situation at the restaurant turned out to be quite chaotic as large number of people turned up to avail the offer. Hundreds of retired as well as active military persons visited the restaurant chain with their families to avail the delicious spread at the restaurant free of cost. Reportedly, the turnout seemed to be much more than what the food chain had expected. As a result, large number of people were seen to be waiting outside the restaurant with names being called out at regular intervals. Meanwhile, the restaurant owners did their best to ensure that people waiting for long remain entertained, as supposedly a magician was seen mingling with the crowd and entertaining them with his magic tricks.

Veterans Day was observed across the country to commemorate the soldiers who served the country and have laid down their lives for the nation. People across the nation celebrated the occasion through ceremonies and parades.The popular restaurant chain’s venture to honor the military personnel surely was welcomed by them which made the initiative immensely successful.
