Ansel Adams photographs worth an estimated $200 million found in a garage sale

saya Los Angeles, July 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rick Norsigian strange hobby could be making him a multimillionaire overnight. The painter likes to sift through garbage at garage sales to search for collectibles and two little boxes he paid $45 in 2000, could now sell for $200 million according to an art expert in Beverly Hills.

The boxes consisted of 65 negatives of photos taken by Ansel Adams many years ago. According to reports, those negatives got burnt by a fire outbreak in the dark room that they were being stored in 1937.

The photos will be shown at a gallery in Beverly Hills on Tuesday and experts believe Ansel Adams snapped the pictures between 1919 and 1930s. It ought to be mentioned that Adams came into national prominence in 1940’s and is also known as America’s father of photography.

“This is going to show the world the evolution of his eye, of his talent, of his skill, his gift, but also his legacy. And it’s a portion that we thought had been destroyed in the studio fire,” according to David W. Streets, who is an art dealer.

Rick Norsigian bought the boxes containing the pictures from someone who claims to have bought them in from a 1940s warehouse in Los Angeles.

Adams taught a photography class in Pasadena 1940 and Patrick Alt, an expert in photography thinks he used these negatives in class demonstrations to his students.
