annie1The police had been led on a whirlwind ride ever since the Yale University graduate Student Annie Le had gone missing and then found dead six days later. Lot of questions were raised as the soon to be bride went missing just mere days before her scheduled wedding, with many suggesting that it was a case of runaway bride. Tragically, Annie’s body was found within the campus grounds on her Wedding day itself, on Sunday.

The police had since held a certain lab technician under suspicion for having failed the polygraph lie detecting test. Also, it was stated that the man had defensive injuries on himself, which he could not explain to the authorities.

On the night of Tuesday, the police and FBI agents searched the home of the Yale University animal research technician. The search resulted in the police whisking away the 24 year old Raymond Clark III in handcuffs. He was driven away from his Middletown apartment by the authorities in a silver car, amidst loud and enthusiastic cheers of neighbors.

According to reports, no charges have been slapped on Clark as of yet but the police have merely taken him in custody while searching for evidences related the Annie Le murder case, like DNA sampling. Upon receiving all the informations they seek, the police said they will release Clark.

At a news conference held in the evening, the New Haven Police Chief James Lewis chose not to describe Clark as a suspect. Lewis said, “We’re going to narrow this down. We’re going to do this as quickly as we can.”
