Anne Bissell stole £60,000 from her dying mother

London, Nov 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Heartless daughter Anne Bissell stole 60,000 pounds from her dying mother, who was under constant care at a nursing home. Anne’s mother – Beryl Beames was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and was lodged in a care home.

Instead of taking care of her mother, the conniving daughter Anne stole thousands of pounds and had a whale of a time visiting the US, Australia and France. She also was a spectator at numerous international rugby matches and also took the advantage of many holiday camps in UK. She spent a major chunk of the money on herself and the various vacations.

Anne is about to go on trial, and the prosecutors are alleging that in all, she stole around 146,000 pounds from her mother, but later Anne herself admitted that she had helped herself to around 60,000 pounds.

The robbery came to light when Anne’s sister Gail Hunter discovered that her mother’s bank account was overdrawn. It ought to be mentioned here that Gail has a joint account with her mother, so she discovered that Anne had been stealing money to the tune of thousands of pounds.

Gail Hunter said that, “She went to Texas and New York while my mum was lying on her death bed, after taking money from her account. Mum had Alzheimer’s, she was a frail old lady.”
