June 12, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Multiple Grammy award winning singer Anita Baker performed on the song ‘Star Spangled Banner’ in the game 4 of the NBA finals. The game was between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.

Anita is an R&B legend and has stunned people for decades with her vocal skills. But this time she disappointed everyone. Her ‘not-up-to-the-mark’ performance was criticized by people on Twitter as soon as she finished singing. After she was done only 17 people clapped, reported a website.

What Baker sang was the worst National Anthem performance in the history of National Anthem singing, without any doubt. Boston Celtics player Ray Allen said that he was counting the notes, and out of 11591 notes Baker could only manage 11587.

The NBA finals would be remembered forever, not for the game but for Baker. Baker has been invited regularly at events to sing. But many doubt that how many invitations she would get after this performance.
