sethLos Angeles, Aug 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Even before California judge Vaughn Walter was ready with his written statement on Wednesday to overturn the November 2008 referendum or Proposition 8, animator and gay-right supporter Seth MacFarlane knew it all. A reputed magazine has come up with an interview of the multi-talented animator in which he had mentioned that campaigners opposing the same-sex marriage rights are basically wasting their money. He has maintained that like any other civil rights movement, gay marriages will also end up in the right direction.

Seth MacFarlane had called the whole business of Proposition 8 as “ridiculous” that is bound to be overturned. The animator who had himself supported the gay-rights movement many a times in the past said that the campaigners who want to hold on to the ban on same-sex marriage are only wasting their money. He equated that it’s the same thing to go with the campaign opposing the same-sex marriage and bet for a team like Boston Red Sox, by which he supposedly meant that both are going to fail. An optimistic Seth MacFarlane said to media sources that “It’s wasted money because that civil-rights battle will be won eventually”. He maintained that the opposition will have to “sulk in a corner” and accept the fact that same-sex marriages will take place.

However, this is not for the first time that Seth MacFarlane has voiced his support for the same-sex marriages in front of the media source. In an interview last year, Seth MacFarlane had maintained that why should couple with the same sex wait for someone else’s nod to start going with their lives.
