Tallest stack of pancakes Sydney, Feb 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Australian chef Andy Wrobel has been entered into the Guinness Record Books after he managed to stack pancakes 76cm high. With that feat, Andy’s name will be in the books with the record of tallest stack of pancakes.

He achieved the feat on Tuesday in the presence of officials from the Guinness. His record bettered a 2008 record which was set in Croatia. Andy admitted that the task was not easy and it took several tries before they finally got it right.

He told Australia’s state broadcaster ABC that, “We tried last year and we got to 61 centimetres and did pretty well. We thought we’d give it another go and this year we actually did it. We had a lot of practices, spent about 50 hours, probably used another quarter of a ton of buckwheat mix, and we finally got to the point where we needed to go.”

Andy is an experienced chef with about 25 years under his belt. He comes up with more than 100,000 pancakes each year at the Pancake Parlour in Melbourne.

The world recognizes the Pancake Day and several records are set on the day. The most incredible record was set in 2008 when Bram Zwiers ate 405 pancakes at a go.
