Andrew Stellitano creates the world’s most expensive mince pie

London, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A British chef has designed the world’s most expensive mince pie. The dish which costs staggering $4,700 is on display at the Exchange shopping mall in Ilford.

The mince pie was made by Andrew Stellitano who is the owner of Astarism. It is made up of a solid platinum coin, platinum leaf, vanilla beans and cinnamon. The pastry was mixed with holy water.

Andrew said it took him more than a week to complete the task. He designed the produce with the computer and had to use laser to get the precision right.

He said that, “It’s an extremely intricate design.”

The pie will be on display at the Marvellous Mince Pie Manufactory and visitors are welcomed to take a look. However on the 19th of December, the knife will be placed on the pie and lucky visitors will be given part of the sweet to take home.

Andrew plans to raise money from the product and says the amount that will be realized will be used for charitable cause. He says proceeds will be donated to the Chigwell Riding Trust which is set up to help people who have special needs.
