Andrew Gallo Convicted On Second-Degree Murder For Killing Nick Adenhart

Sep 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The baseball fraternity was shocked last year when their right-handed Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit an run case at Fullerton in April 9, 2009. The California jury convicted Andrew Gallo three counts second degree murder for the death of the player. Two other people Courtney Stewart and Henry Pearson were also killed in the accident.
The legal authorities reported that Andrew Gallo will be facing 50 years in state prison when he will be sentenced on December 10. He is also convicted of drunken driving and hit and run driving cases. Andrew Gallo is found guilty of murdering Courtney Stewart and Henry Pearson and another passenger of the car Jon Wilhite, was severely injured in the whole hit and run case. The media outlets report that during the two weeks of trial in Santa Ana, the prosecutor Susan Price said that Andrew Gallo had spend hours drinking beer and shots with his stepbrother at three different places before the accident took place. The Police charged him with second degree murder as he was previously convicted with DUI charges. The police later said that Andrew Gallo’s blood level was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
Nigel Pearson, the father of Henry Pearson said that the “accelerator”, “gas pedal” on an automobile is very dangerous and if it is in the wrong hands then it can destroy many live and many people together. Courtney Stewart’s mother said that she knows that her mother will not comeback ever but it will give her daughter happiness as it was the “justice” for them as well as their families. However, Andrew Gallo’s lawyer Jacqueline Goodman said that he would again appeal to the court as he feels that it was a “miscarriage of justice”.
