Anchorage, AK woman sentenced for meth distribution
March 6th, 2010 - 6:58 am ICT by BNO NewsANCHORAGE, ALASKA (BNO NEWS) – An Anchorage, Alaska woman was sentenced on Friday to 43 months in prison for conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, prosecutors announced.
Amy Renee Itta, 23, and others conspired to possess over 500 grams of methamphetamine. Itta shipped the meth via Federal Express to an unsuspecting man. Upon the package’s arrival, the man became suspicious and contacted the police.
Itta was contacted by the delivery service and she appeared in order to obtain the package of drugs. During the sentence hearing it was noted the extremely serious nature of her crime as well as the high quantity of meth involved.
