The quake occurred on Tuesday, October 07, 2008 at 05:28:04 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time ) and Tuesday, October 07, 2008 at 02:28:04 PM at epicenter local time as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter is 230 km (145 miles) ENE of Enarotali, Papua, Indonesia,285 km (175 miles) W of Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia,1335 km (830 miles) NE of DARWIN, Northern Territory, Australia,3495 km (2170 miles) E of JAKARTA, Java, Indonesia with the depth of 35 km (21.7 miles) set by location program.
