May 26th, 2010 - 2:07 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, May 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Amityville horror house is up for grabs. It is on the market and the price being expected is a whooping $1.1 million. A lot of people are interested in the infamous haunted house, and they are making enquiries about the sale price also. The property is located at 108 Ocean Avenue, and it was put on the market on last Monday.
The interested buyers in the property have a lot of ideas about how to use the old property. Some people are interested in turning the house into a ‘haunted bed and breakfast’ whereas others want to buy it because of its sheer novelty value. They have heard a lot of its infamous past, and so want to indulge themselves by buying it.
Amityville gained notoriety more than 3 decades ago, (36 years to be precise) when the owner of the property Ronald DeFeo Jr. killed six people in that house. Then the property was sold to George and Kathleen Lutz, who had a very hard time in the house. They stayed in the house for less than a month, and then left the house. They said that they witnessed a lot of things in the house, that could only have had been ‘paranormal activity’.
