American Airlines Offer Free Air Miles To Donors For Haiti Relief

haitiTexas, Jan 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The mother concern of the American Airlines has declared that it would be awarding free air miles to those who would be donating money to the Red Cross for the relief of the people in the earthquake struck areas in Haiti. Besides, the airlines company has also taken up the responsibility of taking the supplies to Haiti. American Airlines is not the only one that has come forward with this noble gesture. The sister concern of the American Airlines, American Eagle, have also declared that they would be in charge of the transportation of the relief supplies in the tragedy struck country.

AMR. Corp has declared that they would be awarding free miles to all those who will be donating to the Red Cross. However, the number of free air miles would be dependent on the amount of the donation. For instance, those who would be donating $50 to the charity would be getting 250 bonus air miles, and those who would donate $100 or more would be awarded about 500 free air miles.

The program, will continue to the Feb. 28, 2010. Besides, the relief work is also on in full force. The American Eagle and the American Airlines are taking on the relief supplies to the devastated country, landing in the capital of Port-au-Prince. Thursday and Friday will be seeing about three relief missions flying to the country. On Wednesday itself, the planes from the American Eagle landed in Port-au-Prince, carrying about 30,000 pounds of food, water and such other relief items that would not be likely to get spoiled soon. Many other concerns are also doing their own bit to help the victims of the earthquake at Haiti.
