The ill fated Flight 331 crash landed at Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport amidst pelting rain and broke into two parts. According to the reports the Boeing 737 aircraft had 7 crew members along with 145 passengers. Later it was found out that the aircraft started one hour after its scheduled time from Miami International airport. It still remains to be known what led to the crash. The incident took place around 10 p.m.

The airlines had another runway mishap this month. Earlier this month, a MD-82 flight’s wing hit the runway in North Carolina and got damaged. However, in that mishap no one received any injury.
