Amber Heard comes out at the GLAAD’s anniversary & reveals that she is a lesbian
December 6th, 2010 - 11:43 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Dec 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Amber Heard revealed her lesbian status to the world at the recent GLAAD’s 25th anniversary celebrations. She also made a grand entrance on the red carpet with her girlfriend Tasya van Ree. Amber and Tasya have been in a relationship for the last two years. Tasya is a photographer and an artist as well.
At the event, Amber also had the honor to present the Founder’s Award to GLAAD/LA Founder and First Executive Director Richard Jennings. After the event, she astonished the world when she spoke about her sexual preferences. She said that she hates the label she would now be tagged with and she also divulged that she sexual leanings are going to have no difference to her professional abilities at all.
She said that, “I think GLAAD is one of the many reasons that I, as a 24-year-old, can come out. I hate the idea of a label just as much as anyone else but I’m with who I’m with, I love who I love and I’m if not a better actress than I was yesterday and my personal life should have no effect on that.”
