Amber Dubois’ Murderer Gives An Interview On “48 Hours”

San Diego, Nov 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night “48 Hours” was aired on CBS where the gruesome murder of Amber Dubois and Chelsea King was remembered once again. The documentary program showed Amber Dubois’ family detailing the nightmare they endured following the death of their teenage girl. It also featured an exclusive interview of John Albert Gardner III, the culprit who carried out the heinous crime and he came up with a shocking statement that he does not want to freed as he would “kill” again if he is “let out”. The episode was subtitled as “Taken: The Amber Dubois Story”.
In the “48 Hours” show, John Albert Gardner III spoke about how he saw Amber Dubois walking towards Escondido High School and recalled details of how he abducted and killed her. He said that when he saw her first time he showed he the knife and threatened her if she does not get inside his car he would pull out his gun. He added that she looked at her with disbelief but when he shouted at her she got inside the car. John Albert Gardner III said that he is an “animal” from within and he need to be locked “up forever” else he would “kill” again. In his interview, he said that he expects to be killed in prison and he also hinted at committing suicide. Susan Zirinsky, the executive producer of “48 Hours” said that the interview was a “blow away”.
“48 Hours” broadcast also featured interview of Amber Dubois’ family where they expressed how the investigation of her death tore them apart. Carrie McGonigle, Amber Dubois’ mother remembered her daughter with tears and said that she did not speak with anyone for a month after her daughter “went missing”. John Albert Gardner III, was convicted on May 2010 in San Diego for killing Amber Dubois, 14, and Chelsea King, 17. He is sentenced to life without parole.
