The Amber alert has been extended in the states of California along with Arizona after a mother was suspected for the abduction of her four children in Nevada. The mother who has been identified as Claire Tourland is 34 years of age and is assumed to have abducted four of her own children that are aged between 9 and 4 years. These children namely Ivan, Jakelyne, Megan and Tyson Mata-Martinez were reported to have been abducted on Saturday from the Reno Area. According to the information of Brooke Keast who is the Sheriff’s Department Spokeswoman of Washoe County in Nevada, an arrest warrant has been issued against the mother of the four kids.

Stating that the children are under the risk of harm from the woman, an order has been issued by a family court for the return of the children. It has been suspected that the abduction of the kids took place when in the early part of the week the mother though being scheduled to meet with social services regarding the issue of the kids’ custody, did not turn up as being reported by the authorities.
According to the latest development in the case it has been reported by the police that Tourand is trying to flee to Mexico and may be taking the course through California to reach the country. It has been suspected that the children may be taken away in a white 1998 Mercury Sable sedan that bears a Nevada license plate 369-SDH.

AMBER alert is the ackronym for “America’s Missing: Broadcasting Emergency Response” which is issued upon a suspect who has been involved in the abduction of a child. Besides the U.S. it is in vogue in Canada and many other countries.
