Amanda Knox Los Angeles, Feb 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amanda Knox’s lawyers are fighting to block the release a movie about her life.

The movie which is titled “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy” is due to get to the cinemas pretty soon. However Amanda’s lawyers believe that her portrayal in the movie will hurt her chances of overturning her sentence.

Amanda has been sentenced to 26 years in jail in Italy after she was convicted of killing British student, Meredith Kercher. Amanda’s boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito and another accomplice, Rudy Guede were also sentenced for the murder of Kercher.

The trailer of the movie is out and according to the stepfather of Amanda, the movie shouldn’t be allowed to get out because it doesn’t reflect what actually happened.

In an interview with ABC, the stepfather, Chris Mellas said that when Amanda saw the trailer, she called home and complained that “I was physically ill when I saw the images. I thought I was going to throw up”.

The lawyers of Amanda wrote a letter to the filmmaker, Lifetime Original Movie. In the protest letter, the lawyers said the movie portrays their client as evil and would affect the judgment of the jury. The lawyers demanded that the movie’s trailer should be taken away from the Internet by 10th February or the company will face legal action.
