Washington, Oct 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amanda Knox might have been freed from an Italian prison but she is having hard time freeing herself from the language. During an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” show, her father said the 24-year-old is struggling to keep her conversation in English.

Curt Knox, Amanda’s father, told the show that, “It has become really almost her first language since she’s been in prison so long, but she seems to be moving to English.”

Amanda was freed earlier in the week after a jury returned a verdict of not guilty in connection with the murder of British student Meredith Kercher. Amanda was initially jailed 25 years for the death of Meredith but the appeal court overturned the ruling on Monday. The American student nearly passed out at the court when the jury returned and pronounced the verdict of not guilty. Amanda’s Italian boyfriend who was earlier sentenced to 24 years for his role in the murder has also been freed.

Curt said during the press conference on Tuesday night at the airport, Amanda had to be repeatedly reminded to keep the language in English. Apart from her struggle to keep her language in English, Curt said Amanda doesn’t seem that much affected by the incident.

The Italian authorities have indicated their intention to appeal the case.
