Amanda Knox to appeal her murder conviction

Perugia, July 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amanda Knox is all set to appeal her murder conviction. Her lawyer said that the appeal would start in October, and the result of the appeal is being eagerly awaited by Amanda Knox and her family as well.
Her lawyer – Maria Del Grosso said that, “It’s very hard for her; it’s her third summer in which she is just waiting.” Meanwhile Amanda Knox is all set to celebrate her birthday in jail. It would be her third birthday in prison. Her mother and her sister would be there with her on her eventful day, but the birthday celebrations would be subdued.
Meanwhile her parents are also going to face slander charges for defaming the Italian court. The parents of Amanda Knox - Curt Knox and Edda Mellas would soon need to defend themselves against charges of slander for public statements that they made regarding how their daughter was treated by Italian police, during her trial. The statements were made to a British newspaper according to prosecutors. The court would decide their fate on the 19th October and they could be sentenced to 3 years in prison, if they are found guilty.
