Perugia, Dec 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The verdict in the Amanda Knox case is out and she has been found guilty in the brutal killing of Meredith Kercher. Her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito has been found guilty too. The family members of the victim Meredith Kercher are satisfied with the verdict, even though happiness is far from their faces as no matter what punishment Amanda gets, their loved one, Meredith is no more in this world. However despite all this, Amanda still has faith in the Italian courts.

Even though she has being sentenced for 26 years and despite the obvious disappointment of being convicted of murder Amanda Knox told Walter Verini, who is a Parliamentarian from Umbria where she is currently jailed, that her trial was “correct” and that she still has faith in Italian courts.

However when she was taken from the courtroom after the sentencing then she cried out ‘No, no, no’, which reflected her obvious disappointment at the 26-year sentencing.

The prison where she is lodged is just outside Perugia. Amanda Knox’s mother, Edda Mellas, told the media that her daughter Amanda is sharing a prison cell with a 53-year-old American. The family and her friends are blaming her guilty verdict on anti-Americanism and the unfavorable tabloid coverage of the trial.
